The Philadelphia Eagles gave quarterback Carson Wentz another weapon this weekend, trading ahead of their NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys to trade South Dakota State tight end Dallas Goedert with the 17th overall pick in the second round.
Goedert gives the Eagles another pass-catching tight end opposite Zach Ertz, who was widely regarded as the second best TE prospect in the Draft. But for some reason, Eagles fans are not happy about it.
Apparently, Geodert’s first name ‘Dallas’ is rubbing people the wrong way in Philadelphia and they are trying to change that about it.
What we learned at @goedert33’s introductory press conference today:
– Rides a unicycle
– Said people have created GoFundMe pages to have his name changed from ‘Dallas’ to ‘Philly’

Whether or not Geodert actually goes through is highly unlikely but one thing is for sure, the hate is real for Dallas in Philadelphia.
