The Titans already have a thin depth chart at safety. During Day 6 of Titans training camp on Wednesday, Johnathan Cyprien suffered an injury away from the field. The cart was brought over but Cyprien walked off with the Titans’ trainers.

Unfortunately, the injury is a torn ACL, which will end Cyprien’s season.

That’s a tough injury. Cyprien was a star tackler on the Jaguars from 2013-2017, averaging 113.5 tackles over the four seasons. He battled through a hamstring injury last year and missed six games and still managed 59 combined tackles.

This one certainly hurts the Titans. It appears they are already looking for some much-needed depth at the safety position.

Vaccaro has been a great player for the Saints. In five seasons, he’s averaged 77 tackles and 1.5 sacks in addition to 8 career interceptions. He has only played 16 games once though, which is probably why the Saints let him go.

However, he would certainly be a solid option to replace Cyprien, considering he’s still young at 27 years old.

The Titans biggest priority is replacing Cyprien for the immediate future.
